Open up your workflow
Your AI.
Your casework.
Connected.
Use a local AI assistant, a custom script, or the tools you already work with. API and MCP access puts application capabilities in your hands, with permissions you control.
From a folder of files to an organized matter
Upload and organize
Add evidence and documents. Create and move folders, apply labels, assign categories, and update descriptions from your own tools.
Prepare and collaborate
Manage messages, hearings, contacts, tasks, case preparation, sharing, and exports. Use the API or let an MCP-compatible assistant help.
Control the connection
Give each integration its own token. Choose read or write permissions, set an expiration or leave it open-ended, and revoke access whenever you need.
Two ways to connect
REST API + Swagger
Use authenticated HTTP requests from your own software. Explore endpoints, permissions, and request fields in the interactive API reference.

MCP for local AI tools
Connect a compatible client to the remote MCP endpoint with your token, or use our dependency-free local stdio adapter. Your assistant discovers the tools its token is allowed to use.

Same account. Same permissions. Same limits.
Integrations respect your existing sharing permissions, roles, subscription features, storage allowance, and AI usage limits. Local AI reasoning does not consume app AI operations; invoking a built-in AI feature follows its existing billing rules. API and MCP share a request budget of 120 requests per minute per account.
Write permissions can change or delete data. Use a dedicated token with the access your integration needs. The hosted MCP server cannot read your local files unless your client supplies their contents.

Start with a token, then make your first API request or connect your AI client.

Download the AI integration skill
Give your AI software instructions for connecting to your account, finding the right case, and using MCP tools with your existing permissions. This free download includes SKILL.md, a connection guide, and our dependency-free local adapter.
- Extract the ZIP and import the case-commander folder with your client’s skill installer, or place it in its documented skills directory. Use ZIP import if your client supports it.
- Create a dedicated API token and configure the MCP connection using the included guide. Keep your token in private client settings, never in the skill or an AI conversation.
- Ask your assistant: “Use the Case Commander skill to find my case and list its evidence folders without changing anything.”
The skill supports CourtBriefly and Custody Commander. Skill installation varies by client; clients without skills can use the Markdown files as project instructions. Calling tools still requires MCP support and an authenticated connection. The download does not grant account access.
