Evidence Helper FAQ
Will this tell me if my evidence is strong enough?
No — and be wary of anything that claims it can. Evidence Helper organizes your evidence by the issues you define; it never evaluates your case or predicts what a court will do. Whether evidence matters legally is a question for a licensed attorney. What we do is make sure you (or your attorney) can actually find and present it.
How accurate is the AI text extraction?
Good, not perfect — which is why you review every extraction before it's confirmed. AI output and your corrections are stored separately, so there's never ambiguity about what the machine read versus what you verified. AI features are clearly disclosed in the app, and nothing enters your record without your sign-off.
What happens to my original files?
They're preserved exactly as uploaded — byte for byte, EXIF intact — with a SHA-256 hash recorded at upload. Conversions for display (like HEIC to JPEG) are stored alongside the original, never in place of it. You can export the originals at any time.
Can I use this on my phone?
Yes. Evidence Helper is built mobile-first — capture from your camera, paste a screenshot, or upload from your photo library right in your phone's browser. Most evidence is born on a phone; the tool meets it there.
