"Produce the text messages." Here's how, without the all-nighter.

The most common evidence task in family court is also the most miserable. Message Extractor takes the exports you already have from your own phone and accounts and turns them into paginated, hash-certified, court-ready PDF logs — index page included.

No subscription required: a one-time certified Message Log Package starts at $29.

What it does

From raw export to exhibit, in one pass.

Today, "getting the texts" means $40–60 desktop tools, hundreds of screenshots, or a forensic examiner — and the result is still an unpaginated dump nobody can navigate. We make the court-ready output the product.

Ingest the exports you already have

iMazing CSV/Excel, SMS Backup & Restore XML (Android), WhatsApp chat exports, Facebook and Instagram data downloads, Google Voice Takeout, email files — drag, drop, and the format is auto-detected.

One clean, merged archive

Every source is normalized into a single thread model, and duplicates are merged — so the same conversation captured twice (screenshots and a CSV export) becomes one accurate record.

Court-ready PDF logs

Chronological, paginated, every message stamped with sender, timestamp, and channel. Attachment thumbnails with a full-size appendix, Bates-style numbering, and an automated index page.

Filter to what the court needs

Date-range and participant filters mean you can produce "just June, just the co-parent" instead of your entire digital life. Precision is protection.

Hash-certified, with a declaration

A SHA-256 manifest covers your source files and the output, plus a generated declaration describing the process — modeled on the federal rules for self-authenticating electronic records. It's a template you (or your attorney) complete, not legal advice.

Feeds your whole case

Every parsed message becomes searchable evidence in Evidence Helper and appears on your Case Builder timeline — no re-entry, no copy-paste.

How it works

Three steps to "Exhibit A, pages 1–65."

  1. Export from your own phone

Use the export tools you already have access to — we walk you through each one, step by step, for iPhone and Android.

  2. Drop the files here

Format is auto-detected, messages are normalized and de-duplicated, and you confirm the participants and date range you need.

  3. Download your certified log

A paginated, indexed, hash-certified PDF with the authentication declaration attached — ready for Friday's hearing.

Your own messages only — that's the bright line

Message Extractor works on messages you lawfully sent or received, exported from your own devices and accounts. It is not a monitoring tool: it can't read anyone's phone, intercept anything, or access another person's accounts — and every import requires you to attest that the source is yours or that you're legally authorized to access it. Accessing someone else's device or account without authorization can be a crime. If you're unsure about a shared device or family account, talk to an attorney before importing.

Common questions

Message Extractor FAQ

Can it read messages directly off my iPhone?

Not in the browser — Apple doesn't allow any app to read iMessage/SMS directly, and anyone claiming otherwise is overselling. What works today: export your messages with a tool like iMazing or your platform's built-in export, then drop the file here. Direct parsing of your own local iPhone backup (done on your computer, so message content stays with you) is on our roadmap.

Will the PDF be accepted by my court?

We can't promise what any court will accept — admissibility is a legal question that depends on your jurisdiction, your judge, and how the evidence is presented. What we provide is the strongest practical foundation: a complete, paginated, indexed log with hash certification and a declaration template modeled on the federal self-authentication rules, for you or your attorney to adapt.

Can I get messages from my ex's phone or account?

No, and don't try — accessing someone else's device or account without authorization can violate federal and state criminal law. Message Extractor only works on exports of conversations you lawfully sent or received, from your own devices and accounts. Your side of every conversation is already yours; that's all you need and all we touch.

What about deleted messages or call recordings?

We process what exists in your exports — we can't recover messages that were deleted before the export was made, and we don't offer call recording (consent laws vary by state, and it's outside our lane). If forensic recovery matters to your case, that's a job for a licensed examiner, ideally coordinated through an attorney.

The texts are already yours. Make them usable.
